HISTORY/DESCRIPTION
On sale with Bruce Greetham is this beautiful C111 220 SE Coupe from 1963. It was Italian-registered from new in Northern Italy right up to 2020, when it was imported to the UK by the current owner. It still retains the original Green Log book with many service stamps from local garages of the region. Painted in the very period and original colour of Arabian Grey DB124. The roof is painted in ivory white and matches the hubcaps. In 2023, the Engine had a full rebuild covering most internal parts, pistons, seals, bearings, etc, for £2637.60, all bills and receipts present. It starts on the flick of the key and maintains a good, solid idle and oil pressure. It has been used and enjoyed on European trips for many thousands of miles, so certain this car is usable, not a garage queen.
WHY BUY.
This C111 coupe is a very nice example, and one you can jump in and go. There are a few small paint imperfections to the top of the Wings above the headlights, and a small panel mark on the N/S lower wing, but doesnt defer its beauty. Four-speed manual on the floor, which, if wanted, could be converted to a six-speed. No power steering, but this is 1963 and a proper driver's car. I was very confident on my test drive. This car will get you anywhere, and the benefits are that it doesn't carry any body Rust after spending a life in Italy. A very honest and usable Coupe from 1963.
