1965 Mercedes-Benz 230 SL W113

DESCRIPTION/HISTORY.

This beautiful 1965 230 SL is now on sale with Bruce Greetham. It started life in signal red with a black leather interior and a black soft top.  During its new ownership, which has been for over twenty years, it had decided it was ready for a restoration project. The metal work and panels were all addressed to the right gaps and dimensions required. A colour was changed to a Metallic Red and complemented with a new cream leather interior. One special treat was to fit a new Red mohair Soft Top, not seen very often, if not at all, on this colour combination.
The Engine was stripped and rebuilt at a huge cost, covering all the right parts, seals, camshaft, etc etc. Tuned by a London Specialist to maintain it drives as good as it looks.  All bills covering the work are detailed for the history.  This is a very usable but attractive Dark Red Pagoda that, when shown the key it bursts into life without any hesitation. Great driving Pagoda, but not the 280 price tag.

WHY BUY.

Finding a very nice supported 230 SL is not easy. I had the privilege of inspecting and preparing this beautiful Pagoda for sale with the current owner. 230 SL's are becoming rare now to find in any condition, but finding one this nice and a good investment made towards it shows it's been loved and enjoyed.  Come along for a test drive, you will see for yourself how hard it is to find one that isn't over priced.
