DESCRIPTION/HISTORY
On sale with Bruce Greetham is this outstanding, original, long-term-owned 280 SL Pagoda. It has belonged to a well-known Mercedes-Benz club owner, Mr Nick Kisch, who sadly has left this world too early. He had owned this Pagoda for over 38 years and cherished it in his London garage. Nick had kept the bodywork in original condition, with rust to the front wings, as he didn't want to lose its originality. There is a book in the History file that Nick had handwritten from the day he owned it in 1995, recording every mile, how much petrol and the journeys he did. Only two owners before Nick. The Glove box has been signed by the Pagoda man himself, Mr Paul Brauq, which is very unique and a lovely thing to retain.
It has just undergone a full strip and repaint, with new metalwork to the front wings rather than being replaced. My Brief was to retain as much originality as possible. All interior is original, including carpets, seats, etc. New windscreen replaced and wheels changed to steel with hubcaps.
WHY BUY.
This is a fully matching-number car from engine, paint colour, interior, bonnet and deck lid numbers. It drives beautifully and, now with a sympathetic restoration done, it is ready for a new owner to enjoy for the next 40 years. A true genuine 280 SL Pagoda in a lovely, classy colour of Grey Blue Metallic.
