1989 MERCEDES-BENZ R107 420 SL

DESCRIPTION/HISTORY.

On sale is a stunning R107 420 SL from the V8 stable. The 420 SL was the lowest production model made, and this example was near the last of the production made, being a 1989 G plate car. A very well optioned model with cream leather seating, including factory rear seats. A lovely usable mileage of just 64,000, so ready for the UK and Euro road trip.

The SL was taken back to bare metal repaint two years ago, with a huge investment carried out with the obsessive owner at the time, following every mechanical part that was available was replaced by the well-known marque Specialist John Haynes. It drives like a new car with zero rattles or squeaks and as tight as a drum to drive, a pure delight.  The previous owners have documented all receipts and bills during their ownership with all Tax discs, service stamps.  This can only be described as a credit to the last owner to bring such a beautiful SL to such a remarkable condition.

Proper Michelin tyres fitted for those confident drivers out there, who intend to use them on a proper road trip. The soft top was changed from Brown from factory colour to black at some point in its life, which looks more in keeping with the beautiful Almandine coachworks.
