DESCRIPTION/HISTORY
On sale with Bruce Greetham is this very rare S124 300 24V in left-hand drive. It was UK-supplied and registered in Jersey for most of all its life from the supplying dealer Jacksons. The Service book carries a wealth of service stamps throughout its life from the Jersey Owner. It was ordered as a left-hand drive as the owner had a house in France and decided he would spend more time there than in the UK. This is a very well-specified S124 in outstanding condition. So hard now to find such a working wagon estate in this condition. Came to the UK in 2020 with the current MB Club owner, who has cherished the car since.
The condition is just remarkable, and it certainly lived a life in a garage, as the underbody and inner wheel arches are like new, still showing its body coloured paint. The interior is not one I see very often, if not at all, in Velour, which does complement it beautifully without a mark on the seats. Overmats have been used for their entire life, which has kept the vehicle looking like new.
WHY BUY.
Those who know how hard it is to find an original Mercedes 124 estate in any engine size is very difficult now, as many require so much welding, wiring looms, etc. This is such a rare find in the configuration of the LHD and dog-leg 5-speed gearbox. The engine pulls like a train as it was driven down to me from Durham without a blip, squeak or hesitation. This example is good enough to take the wardrobe to the skip or place it in the showground and let others gasp at the condition. Speak with Bruce.
